PALS Provider Certification
American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Blended Learning (Online and In Person Skills)
(2 Year AHA Certification) – Same Day Certification Card!
Recommended for: Any healthcare professionals and medical personnel who may respond to pediatric emergencies. This course can be for initial and renewal students.
This is a 2 Part Course:
Part 1 - A self paced online course created by the American Heart Association (2 - 4 hours based on experience)
Part 2 - In Person skills practice and testing at our facility on a live feedback manikin (30 min - 1 hour)
The online course must be completed prior to attending the skills. There will not be an instructor present for the skills assessment, but you can call us anytime during your skills testing if you have any questions.
The PALS Online Class covers:
- The systematic approach to Pediatric Assessment
- Management of pediatric respiratory emergencies
- Vascular access (Including intraosseous training)
- Airway Management
- PALS Pharmacology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) review
- Numerous pediatric case studies and simulations
- How to be both a leader and a team member in a pediatric resuscitation team
The PALS Skills Covers:
- Adult/Child Compressions
- Child Rescue Breathing with Bag Mask Device
- 2 Rescuer Child CPR - Compressions and Breaths
- Infant Compressions
- Infant Rescue Breathing with Bag Mask Device
- 2 Rescuer Infant CPR - Compressions and Breaths
The skills are performed on a live feedback manikin that will prompt and indicate any adjustments that need to be made in order to pass the skill. The feedback manikin will continue to give you helpful feedback and let you try as MANY TIMES as it takes to complete.
